Hambye is an attractive small market town in the centre of the bocage countryside. Hambye has two bakeries, a butcher and a small supermarket. There is a market every Tuesday.

For recreation there are indoor and outdoor tennis courts, riding and opportunities to enjoy walking and cycling. Safe sandy beaches are 20 minutes away and there are plenty of local attractions; notably Hambye Abbey.
